Typically, the foot healthcare practitioner will start by cutting your nail and removing any hard skin or corns that may be present. If you're lucky, you may even be given a comfortable spongey padding to take home with you to give you that extra spring in your step.
Does it hurt?
Usually someone will go in to a Foot Healthcare appointment in some pain or discomfort and come out feeling like they have two new feet with a pep in their step. It’s like magic. This is why I sometimes tell people that I am a wizard!
In fact, I will never forget the joy of one of my patients who had pain in her toe for three years, had seen multiple specialists with no success, and was completely pain-free after a simple corn removal.
